About Beatrice
With a BA in Journalism and an AA in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies, I bring a unique combination of communication, writing, and child-development experience. I have worked as a 1:1 in schools with children of all ages and as an SLPA, supporting students with diverse learning and communication needs. I naturally build rapport with children and teens, creating a comfortable, positive environment where they feel confident learning, communicating, and reaching their goals.

My lessons are personalized for children and teens ages 3–18, with activities tailored to their individual learning needs, age, and goals. With 10+ years of experience working with children in early childhood education, elementary, middle, and high school settings, along with my experience as an SLPA, I can support students with grammar, writing, reading and reading comprehension, phonics, vocabulary expansion, language development, sentence structure, articulation, following directions, organization, communication skills, social/pragmatic language, and school-readiness skills. My BA in Journalism also gives me a strong background in writing, editing, proofreading, reading comprehension, research, communication, and helping students express their ideas clearly and effectively. Lessons can be adapted for students who need extra academic support, want to strengthen their communication and literacy skills, or simply want to build confidence and become stronger readers and writers.
