About Andrea
I was the kind of kid who never stopped singing. I grew up in a musical home with both parents being music teachers both privately and in public schools. I began taking piano lessons at four years old and voice at eight years old, so music reading is as natural to me as reading English.
I have taught students aged 8-60+ in all styles from pop to opera for the past 8 years. I am currently the voice and performance coach at Cerritos High School, and am tutoring AP theory students at Santa Ana High School.
I really love teaching. To me, there's nothing more exciting than watching a student's eyes light up with understanding. Music is a language and performance is a speech, a poetry reading, and an expression of the soul all in one. It's a joy to share that with others and help them give their art to an audience.
