About Latif
Latif continues to dedicate his law enforcement career to coordinating, facilitating and instructing peace officers, corrections and security personnel. He truly has a passion for teaching.
After over a decade with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, Latif currently holds the rank of Corporal with the Tulsa Housing Authority Unit. In addition, Latif serves as an Assistant Team Leader on the Tulsa county SWAT team.
Latif is an instructor for the Tulsa Technology Center unarmed and armed security program and Goodwill Tulsa Works unarmed security program.
Latif also conducts continuing education classes (CEU's) at both schools.
Furthermore, Alpha 1 provides unarmed and armed private security officer certification.
After over a decade of either teaching or assisting in the law enforcement training division, Latif created Alpha 1 Tactical LLC to give law enforcement, security, military, and private civilians access to intermediate and advanced training at an affordable price.
I enjoy working with new shooters and making them comfortable and confident with their firearm after private lesson(s). In addition, I love giving clients access to survival based training to help them survive during a possible violent encounter.
I started teaching in 2010. I was asked to assist in the jail training academy in Tulsa. I was responsible for training new detention officers. In 2015, I was asked to come back to the jail training division as the academy coordinator.
Since 2011, I have been involved with the firearms training program for the sheriff's office were I assist firearms instructors during spring and fall firearms qualifications. I would later assist on the firing line and requalify deputies, armed security officers and other police officers.
Lastly, since 2014, I've been on the SWAT team. I was later promoted to Assistant Team Leader and I'm responsible for preparing bi-weekly training which includes firearms.

Our first u tera iron with students starts with a phone call. We discuss your firearms training level(s) and learning goals. In addition, we speak about designing a shooting program that works best for the client.
I work with ANY student who is wanting to learn. We do not discriminate. Typically, I work with students who are new to firearms.

Details
Yes we do have a standard pricing for lessons. We charge $50 an hour, with a minimum of 2 hours. Within that time, we talk about the laws associated with carrying a firearm, firearms safety, nomenclature, handgun handling skills (unloaded, loading, and reloading), and fundamentals of handguns shooting.
Students will then go to the range and get coached through a 50 round course of fire.
