About MaryLou
I take a determined but relaxed approach. I give hands on, beginner lessons to get you started on your path. We make projects and clothing. Sewing can be very rewarding, and I always look for a solution, as sewing is part knowing how to follow the patterns and being creative at the same time. You can make anything you can envision with enough desire, patience, and willingness to figure it out as you go.
I started sewing as a young child in 3rd or 4th grade, and have enjoyed it throughout the last 37 years.
Making something useful with my two hands, imagination, and sewing machine.
I like teaching young children or adults who have a desire to get started with this skill.
It thrills me how creative and relaxing sewing can be as well as giving one the sense of accomplishment with your completed projects. It is also rewarding to see growth in learning mastery over the fabric and design, while at the same time letting the piece develop its own unique style.
Being able to share this enjoyment and skill with others is a joy and a pleasure.
