About Sveta
My name is Sveta and I am an early years teacher and a tutor of Maths and English for children of primary age of years 4 to 11. I have been tutoring since 2020 and enjoy every bit of it.

I take 1 hour lessons. In that 1 hour, I teach English in a fun way where a child gets to write on the writing board if it is grammar and I often read a book to them and ask questions while reading to assess their comprehension of the text. I tend to play focus games when I am teaching them grammar. In Maths, I often use Lego bricks to teach partitioning, all the operations, fractions and also add a bit of art like making clocks for teaching time or making pizza to learn fractions. I often encourage them to use the previous maths concept in calculating their answer. I have also learnt Vedic Maths so also teach some techniques, parallel to their UK curriculum, to do fast calculations. This often boosts their confidence in Maths. I tend to keep my lessons fun because I feel it is important for the child to enjoy during the lesson especially in the Primary age and hands-on activities will help them remember a concept in the case of Maths or a topic in the case of English. I have over 5 years of experience in tutoring Primary age children from age 4 to 11.
