About Jeffrey
Here at Jeffrey Alan Tutoring Services I provide excellent, state- of-the-art, tutoring services based on your scholastic needs. With a PhD in Political Science and over a decade of teaching experiences, I am able to provide the personal attention necessary to help you reach your scholastic goals and dreams!
I take great pride in my attention to detail in tutoring staying up to date with regular training in the latest pedagogical methods. Given my experience in academia in teaching individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds and styles, I can cater each learning experience to make it unique and personal.

I enjoy the lightbulb moments the most in the educational process. To me learning is a deeply personal journey in which we not only understand the world much better, but ourselves.
I started teaching while pursuing a Master's degree at the University Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
I have 10+ years of teaching experience instructing diverse students that possess a variety of academic backgrounds.

I like to spend the first day getting to know the student better and discuss in general what expectations for future lessons might be.
Mostly college students (18-22 year old). However, I have also worked with foreign exchange students from Asia and Western Europe.
Choose a teacher in which you feel comfortable developing a rapport.
While serving as an instructor at UW-Stevens Point, I had the priviledge of mentoring a student whose eduational experiences included being home-schooled. One day during office hours, he came in needing extra help. From that initial interaction we worked together on assignments and as he enrolled in several courses, I watched him grow as a student and person. Over the years I had the privilege of encouraging him to participate in Model United Nations activities while at Point and enroll in graduate school at Georgtown. Long story short, I ended up attending his wedding in Eagle River, WI a few years back.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I believe that students learn best when they accept personal responsibility for their learning behaviors. In short, students should strive to become critical thinkers in a 21st century global environment. If students can do this, then they will be equipped to talk to teachers about their needs.
