And yes, our teachers, fluid in many genres, are my friends who are local family-oriented teachers and we make sure that we have fun while we start students out privately and build up their musicianship until they are ready for group rehearsals, ensemble work, and performing.
I simply enjoy watching the progress happen before my eyes. Each year the recitals feature higher and higher levels of music and creativity. I feel like I have provided a platform where teachers work with students to make them better musicians and human beings.
I started piano in grade 3 and I was the ADHD kid that never practiced. I just loved music and kept moving forward. I love passing along the love of music. It's infectious. If students love their lessons, they will learn!
All of our music teachers are college graduates (or soon to be graduated) from Westminster Choir College, TCNJ, Berklee, or the Crane School of Music.
Personally, I (the owner) hold an undergraduate degree in Music Education with a Vocal Major and completed two Masters Programs: Educational Administration from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and an MFA in Vocal Performance from SUNY Purchase.
I have 10 years of public school music teaching experience, 10 years as Fulltime Music Director in Sacred Music, and 7 years as the owner of Mill Pond Arts overseeing 12 teachers covering piano, voice, guitar, drums, ukelele, mandolin, sax, clarinet, flute and drama lessons.

Our first job is to do an assessment of musical ability to determine which curriculum to use. Students may be surprised at how much they know!
We then dig-in at the student's pace and tackle our incremental lessons one at a time in order. We ask the student if they are ready to proceed to the next lesson.
We provide an assignment book and write out how they should practice.
Our approach features 60% technic exercises, sight reading, ear training, and theory, with 40% work on actual pieces.
We work with all ages and stages. We currently have 3-year olds and 75 year olds taking lessons.
We have advanced students, average students, students with disorders, special needs, autism. We have homeschool, private school, public school, Catholic School kids and their parents taking lessons.
Our SMALL-TOWN HOLIDAY RECITAL featured 45 students performing their favorite creative holiday tunes on piano, voice, flute, guitar and sax. The beautifully decorated historic Allentown Presbyterian Church hosted our multi-media multi-generational performance.

Details
Once you meet our teachers, you will know that you have found a very special place.
Our day rate is $25 per 1/2 hour lesson from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Our afternoon and evening rate (as well as weekends) is $35 per lesson. All private.
We currently have over 150 students.
