About Alejandra
I began teaching while serving for the Peace Corps in Peru.
B.F.A in Photography, with an emphasis in Graphic Design.
Two years of designing and teaching workshops to teams of archaeologists.
Over 12 years experience in production graphics with companies and 12 years experience as a freelance graphic designer, using Illustrator and Photoshop as the primary software.

Adults (working professionals) and kids.
We all have different ways of learning. Make sure you feel comfortable with the method or approach your teacher offers. A well exposed image is critical, but not everything. Content is as critical if not more important. If what you communicate through an image is important to you, be sure your instructor has a unique insight to offer beyond the technical aspects.
I recently did a photo shoot for high school year book student photo. I really enjoyed it. It was last-minute, little notice for preparation, but the photo shoot turned out well, the client was very happy with the photos. I particularly enjoyed the process of seeing how a young adult views themselves during what can be seen as fragile years, tapping into their interest and personality, and learning about what it is during this period in their lives they would like to remember most.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Perhaps a mutual understanding of the tools and resources that are available. Seeing whether the teacher is a good fit personality-wise.
