About Lauren
I offer wellness counseling completely virtually. This means that you don't have to buy a gym membership or travel to meet me. I've published in UK Muscle and Fitness as well as in medical journals, have presented at international health and fitness conferences, and have been interviewed by TV and news radio about the importance of engaging in healthy behaviors. I've worked with athletes, Veterans, active duty military, people with diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, amputations, and who just want to be the healthiest versions of themselves.
I really enjoy meeting people, learning about what's important to them, hearing their stories, and working with them to meet the goals that they want to accomplish.
I hold a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health, where I am a member of the teaching faculty. I am currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Bath and I explore and have published on the relationships between chronic disease, exercise capacity and mortality. I have published in UK Muscle and Fitness, American Journal of Hypertension, Circulation, Medicine Science Sports & Exercise, has presented at American College of Sports Medicine and American Heart Association Annual Meetings, and has been interviewed by television news and radio channels about the importance of engaging in healthy behaviors.

I like to schedule an initial visit that takes about an hour. During this time I like to learn what new clients feel is important for me to know about them, what their goals are, any challenges they might have, and answer all of their questions. From there, we work together to develop a plan that is achievable and will help clients work towards the goals that are important to them.
After our initial meeting, we scheduled follow up visits that can be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or at the schedule that clients feel would give them the support they need to accomplish their health and fitness goals. During these follow up visits, we will meet, assess how things are going, address any barriers or challenges that clients are experiencing, and then set small goals that will help clients achieve their long term goal.
