About René
Rene Eisenbart is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and Western Federation Watercolor Society. Formerly an artist for the Oregonian where she created hundreds of botanicals for Homes & Gardens, Rene now paints in her classroom studio, set in the Tualatin Mountains near Portland. Reinterpreting the human form or quintessential plants and creatures of the Northwest, Rene thrives on experimentation. Her colorful watercolor work is often woven with acrylic patterning or texture while unique marbled or stamped papers are transformed as exquisite collaged creatures. These expressive paintings, interlaced with deeper symbolic meaning, invite the viewer to construct their own narrative.
Rene teaches locally and leads painting workshops in exotic locations such as Tuscany and Croatia while panning future trips to Costa Rica and Greece. She encourages each person’s unique artistic expression, creating a safe, supportive environment for growth and experimentation. Read more about her process on her website: (concealed information)
