About Terry
I offer individual plans in addition to my group classes.
Group classes can be in your home or at mine. I let the event hostess or host choose the project. All the supplies are included with the class fee. Individual coaching is part of the class along with brush and paint techniques. Table covers, water cans, paper towels are all supplied.
I have a commercial art background and had gone without painting for over 20years. I have rediscovered the pleasure of painting and love to share the joyful experience.
I really enjoy facilitating people with the opportunity to express creativity, to have confidence and joy.
As a young person I created art all the time. When my daughter attended a small school I volunteered to give drawing and crafting classes. At the age of 22 I finished an oil portrait and didn't pick up a brush to paint again until I was 56. I started crafting and making jewelry in my 30s but didn't have the opportunity to paint. When I started painting it was so exciting I wanted to teach others.
I have an education in Commercial Art. I have worked as a fresh and silk florist. I currently give painting classes of 6 to 20 students. I have experience with oil paint, acrylic paint, pastels, polymer clay, color pencil, some watercolor, and mixed medium, plaster casting, jewelry making, scrapbooking and lots of fun things.

I have experience with grade school classrooms drawing and crafting.
I currently teach adult and childrens group acrylic painting classes.
My first question to a student is what experiences do you have with art and what makes you happy. If someone has an experience base it helps me understand what is needed for growth. Art should also have an emotional reward.
I have worked with students from the age of 4 up to senior citizens. I have had a few students. With ADHD. I do my best to understand a student needs and capabilities. I have some experience with asperger's syndrome but the spectrum has many presentations.

Terry makes learning fun she is accommodating and interactive. She explains what to do step by step and in such an easy to understand way.

My basic painting class is $30.
