About Nadira
I am well versed in multiple genres of music including rnb, classical, jazz and barbershop. I have extensive training as a classical soprano and also lots of experience as an rnb singer and theater vocalist. This wide range allows me to offer lots of different feedback depending on the vocal goals of the student.
I enjoy helping people discover even more joy for singing than they had before.
Students asked me to be their voice teacher.
I have a bachelors of music and vocal performance from Morgan State University. I studied classical vocal performance under the tutelage of Marquita Lister. My studies consisted of aural skills, music theory, vocal pedagogy and more.

About the lesson

I discuss what the students goals are. I ask the student to sing one of their favorite songs so that I can acess their singing style. I acess the student's breathing pattern and I take a look at how they pronounce vowels and constants when they sing. We then go into warming up and discussing some vocal pedagogy.
I have worked with students who enjoy singing but have not studied music in school. They have been interested in creating records in the studio and wanted to become better singers. I have also worked with students who study and sing classical music.
