About Hillary
Do you want to create gorgeous landscapes? Welcome! I'm Hillary, an Alaskan transplant living in Tennessee. I am a certified landscape instructor and I teach others to craft beautiful oil paintings. Even if you've never painted before, with just a few lessons, you will be painting gorgeous landscapes that will become treasured heirlooms to family and friends.
After certification, I dove right in, starting with friends and branching out from there. Soon after, I was teaching in cities across East Tennessee and north Georgia.
I am a certified Bob Ross landscape instructor. As well, I have studied under many Master Artists.

I provide personalized support with new students to make sure they are procuring the right supplies through email, phone, and messenger. I want to make sure they are set up for success. Online classes can be done over Zoom and I will help them set up that as well.

Many of my students are people who have never painted before. Some of my students have painted and acrylics and wanted to try oil painting.

Hillary is a patient teacher who explains painting techniques step by step. She taught me how to paint ocean waves, clouds, trees, and how to use a palette knife.
She give good tips on how to add highlights to my paintingd
Hillary is an excellent teacher, and the experience is very personalized. She finds out where you are as an aspiring artist, and takes you from there to the next level, from beginner to more advanced. She has also addressed some of the obstacles I was experiencing, in improving my painting through self critique, and offered me a lot of tips on how to improve my paintings to give them more “punch”. That said, she is very charming and approachable, and I felt very comfortable with her. I would highly recommend Hillary as a teacher.
