About GarrettBeckerMusic
I've been teaching and performing professionally since 2012 and have been fortunate to work with artists such as NIKI, 88Rising, Mild High Club, and Sara Gazarek.
I use my experience and knowledge to provide each of my students with the highest quality lessons and use custom sheet music and exercises in order to help my students improve their playing as quickly and constistently as possible.
After spending my whole childhood in music classes that were too packed for the band directors to really give each student the attention that they needed in order to get better, I find that my favorite moments teaching are where my students have sudden realizations about one musical concept or another and I can see the look of surprise and understanding on their face.

When starting with a new student, I usually spend the first lesson assessing my student's limits and weaknesses so as to better understand what they need to better themselves. From that point forward I have them work towards mastering those weaknesses through the use of both typical repertoire/exercises, and music that my students specifically want to play.
