About Jackson
I've always been passionate about helping others reach their goals. I just earned my bachelors degree in astrophysics and have lots of experience helping peers with homework and test prep. I've been a teachers aide in classrooms and have experience in writing and adapting lessons to cater to a students needs. Hopefully I can help you with whatever you need!
I've always wanted to be a teacher, but I started by taking classes in college and helping in classrooms in the local area. I enjoy people reach goals they didn't think possible, whether its friends and family or students.
I've taken classes in education for physics and math at college. These classes had me working in classrooms to help students as well as creating lesson plans myself to present to entire classes. I've worked in smaller groups and one-on-one situations to help students achieve their goals individually as well.

I like to hear what a student knows and understand where they are in their curriculum first, either by having them explain it or offering a few practice problems to see what they can do. Then I like to work on building up skills that are fundamental to understanding the concepts they are learning before addressing the work they have to do.
I've worked with students from elementary math all the way up to college level. I've worked with special ed children and with limited resources.
While math and physics are daunting subjects, they are very doable if you approach it the right way. I hope to be able to help students see that way of approaching things and help them not just with what they're struggling with now, but also being able to tackle similar concepts in the future.
