About Idong
My husband and I have been running a non-profit afterschool program for underprivileged youth since 2001. We have been tutoring students from diverse backgrounds in Kindergarten through 12th grade for the last 18 years. We specialize in the Georgia Milestones math test prep for 3rd, 5th and 8th grades with a 100% passing rate. I also graduated from Georgia State University with a 4.0 GPA in Finance. I am a mother to three boys in the 4th, 6th and 7th grades. Two of my sons have come to love math and improve their skills after a few months of tutoring with me. I hope to use my tutoring experience and educational background to help children who are struggling in math.
I enjoy partnering with my students to create "Aha" moments. My joy is to see the light in a child's eyes when he/she finally grasps a math concept.
I saw the need for underprivileged children to receive homework help, so I began tutoring for free.
A Bachelor's degree in Finance with a 4.0 GPA.
Eighteen years of tutoring K-12 students.

The love of math that she have it motive me to learn more about math. The patience she have with student is like a parent helping he/ her own child.
I had just arrived to the States and spoke very limited English so I needed all the help I could get in my classes. I always looked forward to our sessions, as Ms. Idong did such a great job of explaining each concept in a simple language that was easy for me to digest.
I’ve known Ms. Idong for a very long time and she is. She’s patient, takes her time to thoroughly explain, and always find ways to make sure that math is fun and easy to understand. I’ve had many tutors before and I can honestly say that she’s one of the best!!!
