It's all a big puzzle and I find puzzles interesting.
A friend needed assistance filling gaps in understanding. Her school teacher went over the subject too fast. Usually it's what you didn't comprehend in previous lessons that prevents the student from advancing.

He is very personable and easy to work with. What I liked most about doing math with him was that he didn’t continue unless I understood why we used a certain formula or did things a certain way. Understanding why things happened helped me immensely. He also doesn’t rely on a calculator and actually challenges me to think about the question. He bounces ideas and reviews key concepts that could easily be forgotten otherwise. I’ve understood more while working with him than with my own math teacher. Michael made math enjoyable for me.
