I have had many tutors in middle and high school but none of them have carried me through the finish line during a school year as Patricia, my tutor has. Once I joined college i was a bit ashamed on how I was lacking in a strong foundation of math skills in the first place - I didn't know what questions were sensible to be asking or how to follow along in class anymore. I struggled with my statistics course and grew worried that I would not be able to pass a requirement for my major. I couldn't follow along in class but my tutor really took her dedication to teach me how to absorb information and retain it. She walked me trough processes with patience and ease going at a pace that was comfortable with me. It helped me immensely how focused to get us through my questions but she was but also paid attention to where I was concerned and where I was enjoying the process. She catered to my understanding of the material and I felt so supported. She helped me learn the right questions to ask and passed along to me tactics that helped her retain information and what helped her pass all her engineering courses. She was personable and communicated amazingly. Again, I've had many tutors but Patricia was extremely relatable and understood EXACTLY the college math level environment and helped me feel the most prepared I've had for a math class.
