About Shailee
A double major in Anthropology and Biology, I've devoted myself to higher learning and will be starting my PhD in Biological Anthropology in the coming year. Before being an Anth/Bio double major, I took Chemistry courses up to Organic Chemistry 2, as well as multiple AP/IB classes in High School.
In university, while preparing for my freshman year exams I formed a study group with people from my course where we met before exams in the classroom and I would do a review on the board for everyone. This led to me becoming a peer coach for chemistry, then later anatomy, and anthropology. It was also this that led me to going for my PhD, with the hopes that I may teach undergraduate courses and tutor, while doing my thesis.
While attending university I was an RA, Peer Coach, and undergraduate note taker/tutor for General Chemistry 1 and 2, Forensic Anthropology, and Anatomy.

To start the student and I go through a general test to cover what of the subject they are familiar with, to pick up their strong points, and expand upon their weaknesses. From there, we will build a working plan together for how they want to cover the material, including multiple breaks for questions and chances to cover any specific material they would find helpful.
High School and College Students, but I am open to working with all ages.
I worked on an archaeological site for the summer in 2019. As one of our major events we did a community day where people of all ages were allowed to come onto the site to be taught about the history of our site, as well as what we did. I was in charge of pit tours, or telling the people who came onto our site about the individual units and teaching them the techniques used by archaeologists in the field.
