About Janibel

Now a days our kids are being taught methods that require extra time and effort when our kids are already immense amounts of pressure. consider the "New Math" being taught. It's supposed to make the children understand the arithmetics of math but instead it is further confusing them and Us as parents aren't much help because we still practice the old fashion way. I'm here to help

My grandmother was a principle and my mother was a Math teacher. It was only natural for me to fall in love with education.

I have worked with

BuildOn

The Boys & Girls Club of America

And a few Inner City Elementary Schools in NY

The first step is to understand where child's "place" is. How does the child compute math? What method is the child most comfortable with? How fast can he or she complete an equation? The last one is not very important but it will prepare them for time sensitive tests in the future.

I have worked with special needs students

(Autism)

ive also worked with over active children. IEPs most had ADD and ADHD.

Look for a PATIENT tutor with good manners and a soft tone of voice. Look for someone who gets straight to the point.
