About Suraaj
NO STUDENT IS THE SAME. I can't stress that enough and my business revolves around that ideology.
My name is Suraaj Samanta and I have been a professional private tutor for 5 years now. Before then, I used to work at a Math tutoring company (Mathnasium) for 1 and a half years, but I quit because I HATED teaching every student the same. In my tutoring practice, my goal is to cater each lesson to the student so that the student is comfortable and learns at the fastest pace possible.
During my time in school, I scored a perfect Math score on the SAT and ACT. I have also scored perfect 5s on the AP Calculus AB Exam and AP Calculus BC Exam.
Because of my expertise and extensive experience teaching math, all of my students have performed significantly better after learning with me and I stand by that proudly.
I, then went on to study Industrial Engineering and Computer Science at Georgia Tech. I have interned/worked for The Home Depot, JP Morgan Chase, UPS, Intel, and Apple.
I have a true passion for math and teaching, and I'd love to share that passion with you if you give me a chance.

I take some time to understand the student's process of learning and internalizing. Then, I create a lesson plan that I believe will be best for the student to learn concepts quickly and easily. As we move forward, I make modifications to the lesson plan as I learn more and more about the student's strengths/abilities/preferences.
I have worked with students from ages 6-29 year olds. I teach all levels and types of Math.

Suraaj was absolutely perfect for our son. Our son did much better on his SAT and in AP Calculus due to Suraaj's help, and we will definitely go back to him if our son ever needs it. We have referred him to our other family members and I would recommend for anybody. He makes sure to teach in a unique way so that the student feels special and learns quickly. Not all tutors are like that.
It was really great. We tried 4 math tutors before Suraaj and I'm not sure what he does differently but it worked for our daughter. She loves working with him and could not recommend him enough.
Very constructive and truly cares to help students reach their goals. I would highly recommend his services!
Overall I loved the whole thing, he really helped me learn all the material and whenever I didn’t understand he would explain the problem in various ways so that I would understand. This allowed me To get my score to where I needed it to be:)
