About Gary
I am an enthusiastic tutor with long-standing experience providing private lessons to students of all ages. I have a strong knowledge of mathematics and statistics, and I am passionate about helping learners build confidence and achieve their goals. With a background in customer service, I am patient and skilled at explaining complex concepts in a clear and accessible way. I also focus on exam techniques, helping students understand how to approach questions effectively and perform at their best in assessments. My tutoring style is exam-focused and problem-solving based. I help students understand key concepts and apply them effectively in exam conditions, using worked examples, past papers, and targeted exercises. Lessons are typically 50 minutes and structured to include explanation, guided practice, and review. I tutor mathematics at KS3 and KS4 levels, and statistics at AS and A-level. I have experience teaching both group and one-to-one sessions, supporting students in building confidence and improving exam performance. In addition to school-level tutoring, I have experience delivering tutorials to university students in mathematics and statistics, helping them strengthen their understanding and succeed in assessments.
