About Emma
I attended the University of Alabama from 2013-2018. I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education. I’m a General Ed and Special Ed teacher. I have previously taught 3rd Grade Math and Science in Alabama. I will be teaching 4th & 5th Grade Math and Science in Florida this upcoming school year. I am very experienced will all types of students!
Teaching has always been my passion. I love being able to meet and interact with students. I pride myself on building positive and uplifting relationshsips with my students. I love watching my students grow in their learning and in their growth mindset!
I have always had a passion for teaching. I began working with children in college. I have worked at multiple Early Childhood Intervention programs, as well as completed practicums and internships in general education and special education ranging for ages 2 to 3rd grade.
I have a degree in Early Childhood Special Education from The University of Alabama. I received “Highly Qualified Status” from my university. I have two teaching licenses from Alabama: PreK-3rd General Education and PreK-3rd Special Education. I just finished my first year teaching 3rd Grade Math and Science. This upcoming school year, I will be teaching 4th-5th grade Math and Science.

When first meeting a student, I like to get to know them on a personal level (likes, dislikes, favorites, etc.). This will help me adjust activities and lessons to student interests. Based on the grade level, I will have a student complete a pre-test independently to gauge where they are in their learning. From there, I will plan lessons around the student’s prior knowledge and build on that knowledge with new content. All of my classes are enjoyable and fun!
I have worked with all students of different abilities and skills! I have taught intervention classes, as well as general education classes.
