About Oscar
I am here to make sure you get all your questions answered and you leave knowing more than you did! I am patient and will guide you for as long as necessary.
Teaching is something I am passionate about. During my time at the University of Florida I would volunteer at the Salvation Army and Boy and Girls Club to tutor children and help them with their homework. Beyond tutoring them, I also fostered relationships with them and understood that I was becoming somewhat of a role model to them. It was a great experience and I owe tutoring to that.
While at UF I would volunteer at Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club where I would help kids with their homework. I learned how to be more patient than I already was and how to identify challenges they were facing with their homework. I would go home and think on I could help them clear their obstacles, later we would come back to it with a strategy I had in mind. I learned a more structured way to tutor.

I like to understand where their understanding is at. From there we build up their foundational skills. I want to arrive to a place where any question that comes up is easily answered by my student.
From 1st graders all the way up to seniors in high school. All types of backgrounds too. The one thing that stays the same is that they need help and thats why I am here.
