I got started teaching by tutoring my siblings with the elementary and middle school math homework.
I realized that I really enjoyed teaching and aiding them to understand and master their homework concepts.
My highest level of education obtained is bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida. Currently, I am a first-year Master's of Structural Engineering student at the University of Florida. Previously, I worked as a private tutor, peer assistant, and faculty assistant at Miami Dade College.

I usually start off by asking my students to explain their understanding of the topic in their own words. From there I adjust to their needs and start working with them at a pace that is comfortable for them. Most of my work as a tutor is example based. I will explain concepts and steps for solving problems. However, I believe that students learn best by practicing and repetition. I work on the problems alongside the students.
I have worked with students in Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College/University.
