About Tanisha
In seventh grade, I took Accelerated-Math for granted. I didn’t learn because I goofed-off, which docked my participation grade to 79, one-point below the passing grade of 80. Today, I am 1 math course behind where I could be. To help prevent similar mistakes by soon-to-be seventh-graders (including my brother), I decided to offer free math tutoring at my former elementary school. As I started interacting with students, I realized many of them were in different levels of math and I decided I wanted to give each attention to each and every student I taught to ensure they were understanding the foundations of math properly. Not only do I have experience tutoring already, but I also have completed all high school level math which is necessary to help any K-12 student either struggling to learn math or wanting to get a head start. My methods of teaching include active participation from the student’s side, fun and engaging breaks, and benchmark tests.
