About Jeremy
Hi there! I'm a data scientist with mathematics degrees from Princeton and Johns Hopkins, and I'm also a freelance tutor. For many years I have been tutoring high school and college students in physics, chemistry, math, and SAT/ACT prep. Before freelancing, I managed a branch of a test prep company, Ivy Insiders, and helped to raise students' SAT scores by as much as 300 points.
I have plenty of experience with the SAT, and I achieved a score of 2380 when I applied to colleges. While working at Ivy Insiders, I learned numerous strategies and techniques specific to taking standardized tests.
Besides math, my areas of expertise include computer science/programming (Python, C++, etc.), physics, economics, linguistics, music theory, and philosophy. I also studied Latin for many years and won numerous awards in national and regional competitions.
My teachers and friends would describe me as articulate, widely-read, and friendly. If I know a subject, and get to know you just well enough to appraise your learning style, I can teach that subject to you.
