About David
Hi! I'm David! I have a 25-year career as a high school math and computer science teacher. I have taught all levels of math from Algebra I through AP Calculus AB and BC, SAT math prep, as well as AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles.
I also work for the Educational Testing Service as a reader for the AP Computer Science A exam, which I have done for five years. Prior to that, I was a reader for the AP Calculus AB and BC exams for seven years.
While I studied meteorology in college (B.S. and M.S. degrees from Penn State and a Ph.D. from Colorado State), I pivoted to teaching after working for two years at NASA. Teaching courses as a graduate student made me realize that I was passionate about teaching. I received my teaching certificate and have been teaching ever since!
