About Nikolas
I love to learn, and I love to teach even more. I became a tutor at a community college in 2012. Working at a community college, I understand that many students struggle to make time for studying. With this in mind, I am very flexible with scheduling.
I graduated from Sinclair College with an Associate's Degree of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2013 and I have also received an Associate's Degree of Mathematics in 2015. I received a Bachelor's Degree of Mathematics with an Education Concentration at Wright State University in 2018.
My methods of tutoring vary based on the needs of the student. I use a whiteboard to illustrate examples, checking in with the student along the way to gauge their understanding of the material. In my experience, I have found that many students are visual learners, so I find this method to be very helpful.
I welcome texting as a primary method of communication with my students, but they are also free to use other communication methods.
