About Sam
(SAT / ACT)
I’ve been tutoring for more than 10 years giving students the skills needed to feel tremendous confidence in themselves. I’ve tutored more than 40 students, and our average SAT score is 1450 which is a great score range for excellent scholarships. We definitely want those 100% full-ride scholarships and loans, right? : )
I’m also a researcher at the prestigious University of Florida, an education consultant and SAT specialist covering all topics. I specialize in college prep, educating families on how to save on expense college loans, and above all training the student to believe in themselves. It all starts right here with us. If you’re looking for the right tutor, to get the competitive score you’re working very hard to get, then I’m your guy! Let’s talk to discuss more.
This will be a very homework heavy and test heavy program giving you the ultimate study experience beyond normal tutoring. We also have volunteer tutors outside of tutoring hours if you need help with homework or test questions. Formula sheet, coursebook and other materials will also be provided.
You don’t have to take my word for it! Ask all of my past students who have given me 5 star reviews which are on my profile!
My standard rate is $25 / hour! I’m a stellar tutor with more than 40 Five Star Reviews.
I have a program curriculum I can send to you for a complete study experience.
(ASVAB)
I’ve been tutoring ASVAB content for over 10 years with reading, writing and math. I also have tremendous prototyping and shop experience that lets me know how to use woodworking tools, techniques, and different wood types. I filed my first patent when I was 22 for an auto-manufacturing project for minivans, so I have a great deal of experience with automotive parts. I majored in Physics back in college which provides me a great amount of working knowledge of electronics, Ohm’s law, resistors, and PCB theory.
I personally have scored in the 90th percentile on the ASVAB. This will be a very homework heavy and test heavy program giving you the ultimate study experience beyond normal tutoring. We also have volunteer tutors outside of tutoring hours if you need help with homework or test questions. Formula sheet, coursebook and other materials will also be provided.

Sam - public speaker, writer, consultant, tutor and strategiest. Here is my profile - (concealed information)
The way I tutor is that I guide the students to figure out the right answer themselves. Students feel happy, proud and confident when they’ve figured it out themselves. It elevates them, and I do that for all of my students.
Successful students are those that truly understand the material, and “shake things up” a bit to figure out another angle to the problem. Instructing is good, but guiding them to the answer is better because now I know they are self-sufficient!
This makes me a better tutor too because I constantly think of different techniques and different angles to help them understand the answer.
I realized I was good at it, and I've been tutoring since I was in high school.
People tell me I'm good with words, out of the box thinker and the ability to captivate and audience with story telling.
So, I thought I'd give it a try. Here I am! : )
As an independent tutor I get requests all the time for SAT, ACT, math, science and other courses.
My tutoring skills are one of a kind, and I help students relate to the subject matter so they become self-sufficient.
I have two masters degrees, and I graduated with Physics and Biomedical science backgrounds. You can see on my portfolio link! : )

I walk them through crash courses for:
-SAT math, reading and writing
-ACT math, reading and writing
This lets me gauge where their strengths and weaknesses are. I also like to learn who they are, what they do and what they aspire to me because it's all personality based. This helps me learn their learning curve.
"special needs," high school, middle school and college.
I've tutored - writing, college essays, entrance exams, SAT, ACT, medical technology, and just about any course that has been given to me out of request.
I've tutored international students, athletes, cheerleaders, gamers, etc.
Get to know your tutor's strengths and weaknesses, ask as many questions as you can, take practice tests and work hard.
Studying is a lot like sports. You develop muscle memory from training in sports a lot. Test preparation is the same way. It becomes automated in your brain after much exposure.
I had a Hispanic student in Arizona where he was looking to get into Stanford and / or MiT. I tutored him for 3 months, got him to 1390- 1400 score, and made his family very happy.
He just had an interview with MiT a week ago. He was astonished with my methods thinking he couldn't get any better than he already was.
My students on average score 1300+ on the SAT
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Is my goal realistic? What are the ways for me to get there? Do you have alternatives? Can you teach it to me in a different way? Can you draw it out for me?

10 outta 10. Most definitely recommend i'm understanding everything a lot better
Sam is a great teacher. He explains things in great detail. He helps you correct your own mistakes so you don't make the same one twice.
So far I enjoy the tutoring, Mr.Singh is able to get through to me with many of the topics that I'm learning (granted I do struggle) and it takes time. But overall the experience and time being put into this will help me in the near future.
I love that my tutor is very patient with me and is always willing to explain something over again if I do not understand it, and he also makes learning a lot of fun and I REALLY enjoy it.
Overall I'd say that I am enjoying and looking forward to being tutored by Mr.Singh. Although this is my second day I would say that I am able to pick up the math after a few problems and remember how to do the work (although I make tiny mistakes). The Whiteboard experience is very helpful too, I don't find the lessons boring like normal school lessons and I'm able to interact.
I love that I could stay in the comfort of my home with a real one on one tutor who could explain and reteach important academic concepts. I love that both the teacher and the student have direct communication in the form of talking and writing.
He was really patient and nice, his methods really helped me in completing what I believed to be difficult but it turns out it was easy. He made me really enthused and I really enjoy working with him
Working through FlipSetter and with my tutor has helped me gradually by being able to easily identify my mistakes. Identifying certain mistakes, such as in math or English, have helped me to further understand how I can solve problems correctly. Mr. Krishnan has been a great tutor by guiding me through the SAT by making me identify my own mistakes and guiding me through the correct process and strategy to attain the desired test score.
Good Tutor! Very knowledgeable and helpful.
He really helps explain topics that I'm struggling with. He makes sure I understand why something is correct and how I'll be able to answer questions like those correctly in the future. While tutoring with him, I have grown and learned a lot.
knowledgeable, professional and personable
Sam was fantastic. I was studying for SAT. I've been through many tutors, and then was referred to Sam. I saw that he has a 4.9 / 5.0 star rating on his tutoring profile from another site. He has a very unique way of teaching, and I liked studying with him. Great personality. He increased my score 250 points on the SAT. I got 1300+ - 10/15/19
Sam is a very helpful tutor. I needed help with gen chem. We started by him looking at my school curriculum. He asked me where I was having difficulty. I showed him. He helped me understand stoichoimetry and stuff. Turns out, I just didn't know where the numbers came from in the formula. He pointed it out. Thank you, Sam
Hello. I'm from India. English is a second language for me, and was very difficult. I was studying for English Comp in college. I connected with Sam because he is also my background. He helped me focus on essay writing. We mapped out basic formulae for me to follow. I recommend him.
