Mrs. Riahi is truly a gem and life-changer!! I’ve NEVER come across a more thoughtful, personalized, caring, and intelligent mathematics tutor than Mrs. Riahi. When Khan Academy and Organic Chemistry did not satisfy my knowledge needs, Mrs. Riahi was there to exceed it!! She personalizes each individual student’s learning style custom to their own preferences, strategies, and techniques for solving and understanding mathematical problems!! What’s most important is that she’s not the stereotypical tutor who would use their “unique, one-of-a-kind” one-size-fits-all tutoring techniques, but rather sees each student as a human being and child of her own. What I mean by that is that she looks deeper beyond than just a student’s wrong answers on a test; she instead uses our errors as a means of learning the best way to apply and teach us mathematics in a way that we would be most comfortable with, and in a way we would feel EMPOWERED to continue seeking knowledge in math. Never ONCE has she raised her voice towards me, as she speaks and cares for me as if I was a child of her own!! ALSO, she NEVER pressurized me towards picking an answer, or “to do better”. Some tutors would make me feel as if I have no hope by getting upset or making facial expressions that would hurt my confidence when I would select an answer that would be incorrect; it’s as if there is no tolerance for errors, and I wouldn’t really be learning nor improving for my own’s sake, but rather to not receive a harsh reaction from the tutor. However Mrs. Riahi trusts and believes in us so well that we WILL succeed, so when we take tests or complete exercise problems, she is as positive and encouraging as one can imagine, which really makes a difference in performance. I performed ASTRONOMICALLY higher with Mrs. Riahi than ANY other teacher in my life!! And I mean it!! Mrs. Riahi is the reason I love and enjoy math, and the reason why I am able to succeed on the mathematics-portion of the SAT (what always used to be my nightmare). She will personally by hand create little pamphlets, folders, booklets, and whatever other means necessary that contain handwritten mathematical notes and concepts based on the way we learned the content, but she will create these tools WITH us, so it would be like a mini review of the lessons we learned that day. If you’re looking for a sign or some message that Mrs. Riahi is the right mathematics tutor for you, then this is it!!! It’s impossible to fail when Mrs. Riahi is here, so I HIGHLY recommend her to all. 💯💯💯

She always made sure that we all understood her lessons, and her way of teaching, which is by making foldables so that we could have our lessons recorded for when we needed to study them, was actually really fun and helpful. Her grading and testing methods were extremely fair, and she is an overall great teacher and person. I had no problems with her teaching, and easily understood her lessons.

Was one of my favorite math teachers and my favorite class ! Was very invested in every student and cared about them. Very good at giving multiple ways to solving a problem as not every student learns the same way. Was very interactive which I appreciated the most ! And never gave up on a student, always there to help !

The way that Mrs. Riahi always make sure that we are understanding her class and the way that she makes her class a safe environment to her students.

What I liked about working with math tutoring is that I started to understand more about the the different lessons in math and started to work out problems and get them right on tests and class assignments.

Mrs Riahi always had time for every student she would go around every table and check on us if we ever needed help if the class struggled on a specific subject she would always find a way to make a problem easier for us to understand she always helped me and my group when we needed her and she would give us multiple example until we understood it she is an amazing teacher and glad to have her as my algebra 2 teacher.
