About Maximilian
I have worked as a tutor teaching an array of subjects since I was a student in high school, where I participated in numerous AP level classises, was consistently on the honor roll, and receieved academic honors upon my graduation. I attended The University of California, Irvine, where I was admitted as a member of their Campus Wide Honors Program ( a group compirsed of the top three percent of academic applicants based on an aggregate of grades and entrance exam scores), and again graduated with academic honors in June 2019. Not only have I done tutoring on and off during highschool and university, I have also worked frequnetly both professionally and on a volunteer basis in childcare and development through organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, the Carlsbad Unified School District, and various summer camp programs (usually with an emphasis on arts education).
Teaching is among the greatest passions in my life. Watching someone's "Eureka!" moment when they first understand something that was previously a mystery to them is one of the best feelings in the world. Getting the chance to be instrumental in that moment of understanding is what drives me to work as an educator. I often have the chance to combine my passion for teaching with the arts, one of my other greatest passions; arts education being one of the things I enjoy most in the world, though I have ample experience tutoring in purely acadmic capacities as well.
