About Lydia
I recently graduated with an Associates of Science degree from Spoon River College in Illinois. I grew up homeschooled and actually chose to teach myself through 7th and 8th grade. I went to a Christian school for my high school education where I expanded my skills through competitive sports and fine arts competitions. I have played the piano almost my entire life, and have always loved math, especially algebra.
The best 18 months of my life were spent living in Virginia with a family of 9, where I helped teach a to their two youngest kids. My primary charge was a 4 year old boy with a learning difference/special needs and needed a constant companion and someone to help with speech and physical therapy.
I love kids and helping them learn new things. I am a neurodivergent person, and I think that helps me be empathetic as well as think uniquely about subjects and find new ways for others grasp difficult concepts.
