About Anthony
I was a student of the late grand master Kenny Gong, of Canton China, for twenty years. My studies were in New York City and I now hold a full certification to teach Shing Yi Chuan and BaGua Chang, two of the three Chinese Internal Martial Arts. This system works as well for women, as it does for men. It works as well for the young, as it does for the not-so-young. Physical stature has nothing to do with its effectiveness because it is based on the use of Chi, the Vital Energy. Classes consist of movement patterns (Nine Palace Walking), Forms (Four in all) and meditations (Several powerful Chi building). Shing Yi is the basis of Chinese traditional medicine. It brings a healing ability, as well as, the abilty to defend oneself, in an exremely effective way. There is no difference, as to, whether you are a man, or woman. The system works equaly for both. We flow like the water, which we actually are. Our bodies are composed of seventy percent liquid, and therefore, we should think of ourselves that way. What will follow is that our bodies will move in a different way. We will become faster. Our movements will be smoother and much more powerful. We imitate the Twelve Animals and employ the Five Elements in our practice. We learn to do things without the limits of logical calculation, which severly limits our bodies and energy. We transfer "limiting thought", to "natural movement", or the "Original Mind". That which governs our body processes, naturally, without thought. Thus liberating, our natural abilities, in ways you never imagined.
