About Matt
Hello! My name is Matt Stone, and I am a passionate educator and coach dedicated to helping athletes excel both on and off the field. As a five-year collegiate football player and scholarship athlete, I have honed my skills and leadership abilities throughout my athletic journey. In high school, I served as the team captain for both the football and track teams, leading my peers to success and earning recognition as a 2nd Team All-Conference player and Bainbridge Offensive Player of the Year.
During my college career, I continued to embrace leadership roles, starting as a key player and serving as team captain for two years. My commitment to fostering teamwork and perseverance was acknowledged when I received a leadership award in college. Beyond athletics, I hold two Master’s degrees—one in Business Administration and another in Science—reflecting my dedication to continuous learning and development.
In the past two years, I have actively read 25 personal development books, furthering my understanding of effective coaching and personal growth. Over the years, I have had the privilege of coaching at three different high schools and collaborating with five diverse coaching staffs, taking on roles such as RB coach and Strength & Conditioning coach.
Currently, I am coaching running backs at Bainbridge High School, where I aim not just to develop athletes' skills on the field, but also to cultivate their mental resilience and character off the field. My mission is to empower young athletes to become their best selves, both athletically and personally.
