About Don
Hi, we are VOLTA DANCE STUDIO. We are located in Fort Worth Texas between Lake, Worth Saginaw and Eagle Mountain Lake. We teach Ballroom Latin, Country, Swing, Salsa, merengue and bachata
Started dancing in our living room back in the late 90's wanting to learn the swing. 1 year year later we answered an ad for dance instructors. 21 years later still teaching, imparting dance knowledge and enjoy bringing out the best dancer in people.
We have over 20 years of ballroom dance teaching experience adults, children, couples, and weddings, along with training with top coaches in ballroom and latin dancing.
We also trained in Strategic Intervention taught by Choe Madanes (Strategic Family Therapist) and apply stratagies, goals and coaching to our dance, allowing us to be pro-active when working with couples connection and strengthening bonds through partner dancing with our program Rhythms of the Heart.

The typical process is we start off an introduction to basic steps and foundation of the dance style of their choice.
We work together to find the best fit of our many options to help you meet your goals.
If they are advanced students we then focus attention in technique, connection and what the dancer wants to focus on.
We have worked with many different types of professionals and people of all walks of life.
Professors, Teachers, Wedding Couples, Children, Famlies, Stay at Home Moms/Dads, Home Schoolers, Flight Paramedics, Fire Figthers, Ballet Teachers, Pilots, Engineers and Bare Back Rodeo Champion.
More than beyond the usual location/price, experience and style of dance taught, one thing that is often overlooked in exchange for the former. You should always be sure that no matter the dance or the level you aspire to, make sure that you have a connection and feel comfortable with your teacher and the environment.
Normal jitters and nervousness is to be expected.
Your instructor should ask you just as many questions as you ask him or her.
We are fond of our involvement in an annual event Gala that is held downtown Fort Worth that donations are given to local charities and the arts.

Perfect! How can one help two 12 year old boys feel comfortable with the idea of learning to dance (ballroom)? Don is living out one of his gifts from God to help this come to be. Before our introductory session, there was much chatter between our boys that we will be over with this for Mom with the one class. After the class, I may have well been dancing myself, to hear them tell the young ladies in the class, "See you next Saturday!"

Perfect! Don and Diana are wonderful people. Don did our lesson and was an excellent teacher. He adjusted where necessary and we learned so much in only one lesson! We loved it and will be back regularly!
Perfect! Very good instructions and a willingness to adjust depending on how coordinated I am at the time. So patient and still fun. My husband is enjoying this more than I dreamed and it’s great for our marriage!
Perfect! Don was excellent, patient, encouraging, and took the time to teach the finer points and details. As someone who has never really danced, Don had a great mix of fun, didn’t let us get stuck on one type of dance (we touched on salsa, foxtrot, and the cha cha), and he demonstrated the basic principles for each type. This was a birthday present for my wife (who already knows how to dance!), and I had a great time and am looking forward to our next lesson!
Perfect! These two exude fun and confidence which makes the whole experience a delight whether you’re coordinated or not. I highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone.
