About Kohl
My name is Kohl Aldjo and I am a graduate of Indiana University's School of Music where I studied Classical Guitar & Music Theory. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and have over 25 years teaching experience. Through the years I have taught at Wildwood Music in Longmont & Louisville, Keith Music in Longmont, the CMIC in Longmont, Universal Music in Thornton, Intermezzo Music Academy in Westminster, and the Music Education Center in Northglenn.
As a teacher, I have a very straight forward, easy-to-progress approach that works great with any age of student ranging from beginning to advanced levels in the styles of Acoustic, Electric, Finger Picking, Blues, Rock, Folk, Classical, & Celtic Fingerstyle.

Getting down the basics; chords, scales, and note reading. All techniques and excersices are geared towards learning songs. And this all comes together very quickly!

Perfect! My son started taking lessons a couple months ago and Kohl has made it a great experience. He is learning so much and having so much fun doing it! Kohl is patient and teaches in a manner that makes very easy to learn. I highly recommend!
Perfect! I have been working with Kohl for the past 2 months and it has been a pleasure. Before we started Kohl had asked me what I would like to learn and has tailored our lesson exactly to that with extra things he believes will benefit me. I have had a couple instructors before and none have taught me what Kohl has. $25 for a lengthy 30 minute lesson every week is well worth it. I highly recommend him for any level of guitar player.

Kohl is an excellent guitar teacher and mentor to our 15-year-old son. He constantly challenges him with new material, and his knowledge of guitar theory and history is extensive. Kohl is an excellent guitar teacher! He has a well thought-out and thorough method of instruction that can be catered to any ability level from absolute beginner to advanced. I wanted to learn about music and fretboard theory rather than just songs, and Kohl has helped my progress tremendously. Nice, comfy home studio. For youth or adult learners I highly recommend!!!

Not only is she being taught how to play acoustic and electric guitar, she is being exposed to a wide range of musical styles and techniques. She isn't just being taught tablature, she is being taught music theory and how to read music. This knowledge will transfer easily to any instrument she decides to pick up in the future. Practice plans and expectations are written out weekly and are clear and easy to understand. Kohl rocks!
My son has been taking lessons for about six months now. He has learned so much and his skills are growing beyond my expectations. The folks at Intermezzo are very professional and friendly. My son takes electric guitar lessons from Kohl Aldjo. I can't say enough about him! He is extremely child and adult-friendly. My rates are my the month so half hour lessons are $100 and 45 minute lessons are $140. I also give a slight discount on the 5th lesson of the month if there is one.
