About Jeffrey
I teach guitar using the songs of the Beatles only. I teach how to read chord charts, how to play by ear, and how to navigate the Nashville Number System (for more advanced students). It is my belief that, if you use only the Beatles songs to learn to play an instrument, whether it be guitar, bass, piano, or drums, and you see it all the way through, you will have a very fine musical education.
Haven't really started yet.
I have been playing since the age of 16, I am now 63.

After introductions, I would begin by finding a good starting point. Each student is different and will have different starting points. Some students will have already begun to familiarize themselves with some guitar basics (parts of the guitar, the names of the strings, how to tune, etc.), So it will depend on how quickly I can move through those elements before we begin learning chords.
Chord study will begin with the study of the first song (to be revealed to the student). Chords of the song will be learned outside of playing the song, but once changing between them is mastered, the next process will be to apply the chord changes to the song.

Hire someone who is a fan of the music you want to learn. If they are a fan, then they will have spent the hours learning and honing the songs.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What type of guitar they want to play and should purchase. What style of music they want to learn. Here I'm looking for people who are interested in learning how to play guitar from learning Beatles songs.
