About Mike
I started when my guitar teacher told me about an opening for a teacher at his music store. I signed up and have been teaching ever since.
Studied classical guitar and music theory at Harper College. Studied music theory at a trade school in Emeryville CA.
I have also been writing, recording and playing live shows for over 25 years.

Learning what style of music they enjoy listening to them teaching them the basics of that style. If they're interested in learning the theory behind what they're playing, we can discuss that too.
Students range from 10 years old to 60 years old.
Make sure the teacher is able to teach you what you want to learn. Some teachers don't have the ability or knowledge to teach a certain style but will string along a student to make a buck.
I would say the completion of another song. It's always satisfying to sit back and listen to a piece of original music that you wrote.
