About Tangella
I am a perfectionist and I'm super determined to go the extra mile to help my students reach or exceed their educational goals. Mostly, I really enjoy making learning fun!!!
I am an experienced teacher and I love what I do. What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing the positive results from the work that we've accomplished. As long as we work together, there will be a noticeable difference within your progress! Are you ready?
Honestly, I cannot recall when my desire to educate began. It's always been an ennate part of my personality. I am naturally driven to help those that are motivated to grow and enhance their education.
I earned a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical and Community Psychology. I have been teaching and tutoring since 1990. I've tutored Pre-K students up to college level students. My areas of concentration range from general studies to collegic level studies. What stands me apart from others is that I strive to take the "boring" out of learning and make things interesting and interactive.

I normally use our first meeting as an opportunity to establish a comfortable relationship with my student. I want us to learn about each other's teaching and learning styles. I find it important to take the time to determine my student's primary reason for seeking assistance and to address any questions or concerns that the student may have about the tutoring process. There are times, however, that I must go along with my student's pace to ensure their level of comfort. That is what's most important.
***Availability:
Tuesday - Friday- 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Saturday- 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
I prefer to meet with my clients at my home office in Tampa, however, I will meet with clients at an agreed upon location outside of my office if they are not able to travel for the in office sessions (within 10 miles.)
I've tutored pre-k students up to graduate school students in areas ranging from general studies to college level studies. I have worked with diverse ages, races, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. I have comfortably provided services in many types of environmental settings. Those have included my home office, the homes of clients, schools, libraries, outdoor settings... Any place in which the student and I feel would be a great learning environment. I strive to keep things interesting and fun!
During my 6 year enlistment in the United States Army, I even provided educational and counseling services to military personnel while deployed overseas in deserts of Kuwait. Yes, way over there!
I would advise anyone that is seeking help with their educational needs to ensure that they feel comfortable and relaxed with their tutorer. After the first or second session, if you are not feeling like the both of you are working towards a common goal or you feel that you are not receiving the services that you believe you require, I would advise you to seek another tutorer. It is important to establish a relationship with your tutorer that's conducive to meeting your educational goals. Please, never feel badly if you have to shop around to ensure that your educational needs are being met.

Details
My standard fees range from $15 -$25 per session hour. Rates vary based on grade level and subject matter. There will be a $10.00 "no show" or "cancellation" fee assessed if the scheduled appointment is not cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the session.

**(I apologize for any inconvenience, but I do not accept insurance as a form of payment. Payment via Zelle, PayPal, CashApp or cash only.)
