About Cody
My training to date has given me a set of skills that helps me relate to all players. For years I have taught in front of video and given over 6000 lessons in this environment. The ability to slow things down for the student's benefit and explain clearly what is happening during the swing is typically very benificial when making swing changes.
There is much more that goes into golf than just swinging the club and hitting a driver 300 yards like the pros. So my experience being a mini tour player has given me the full scope of what it takes to play the game at the high level as well. A sound short game inside of 100 yds is a VERY high priority that I stress with my students.
Seeing players eyes light up when a new skill is learned is worth every bit of it. Its just as big of a challenge for me as instructor as it is for the student to get over that hump usually, so I feel like we are both winning when you succeed!

My preference with most students who have played the game already is to initially get out and play 9 holes of golf to asses their game for myself. Most players swing faults come from how they go about hitting shots on the course, so getting out with them in the field of play can explain most of why a player swings the club the way they do over time and might struggle making a change.
From that initial assesment, we will put together a game plan of when we will be working together and the key points of emphasis over that time period. Having a clear plan to where and what we are trying to do is crutial for success! Lets get together and see where we need to go!!
