About Abbie
Hi, I'm Abbie.
I live in South Wales and am currently studying towards a BSc (Hons) Health Sciences at University.
At A-Level, I achieved 4A*s & 1A, including an A* in Biology. At GCSE level, I achieved 14A*s.
I’ve always had a science and maths-based brain and love the satisfaction you get from solving a complex problem (especially if you’ve been working on it for a long time!). I also enjoyed sharing this experience with friends when helping them understand difficult topics in school, so I decided to look into tutoring. Since then, I haven’t stopped & love watching students’ faces when they have that “lightbulb moment”!

During my lessons, I explain topics by breaking them down into bite-size chunks. This is often overlooked by teachers in mainstream education and as a result, many students find biology very complicated.
During my lessons, I aim to make biology make sense. I love seeing students' reactions when they have a 'lightbulb moment'!
For students sitting GCSE, AS, or A Level exams, lessons will follow the relevant exam board's specifications. Once a concept has been taught, we will practice applying our knowledge to past paper questions, making sure that you feel completely prepared for the upcoming exams.
If necessary, I'll also send you helpful resources and activities that you can use outside of lessons.
For students at KS3 or below, lessons are kept entertaining through the use of interactive quizzes and biology-related games.
Lessons are typically 1 hour in length.
