About Jazmine
I started tutoring while in college.
I received a degree in Communication from Clark Atlanta University. While obtaining my degree, I tutored students in essay writing and also English. I took AP English myself in high school, passing the writing exam with a score of 4 out of 5 allowing me to receive the college credit prior to my freshman year. I have tutored for Chegg, Tutor.com and Varsity Tutors as well over the years.

I like to assess the personal likes of the child as well as specifically see what they are struggling with and have struggled with previously. This often includes having the student write a mock essay as well in bringing in essays or writings of various topics and grades so I can diagnose any patterns or key sightings.
I have helped students with dyslexia. I also have worked with autistic children learners in the past.
Make sure that the tutor is well versed in the subject in order to guarantee it is an accurate fit. You want to make sure the tutor can practically do it in their sleep in a cliche type of way.
I love seeing that lightbulb go off with my students. It shows me that they not only understand it at that moment, but can apply it and reconnect it in ways that cannot be done with simply just memorizing.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should assess tutor by asking about the tutors direct experience with this subject, demonstrating if they have supplemental work, seeing if the tutor has additional aids or materials that can help further the understanding.
