About Julia

My 14 years of experience teaching has provided me the opportunity to learn what works and what doesn’t when it comes to adapting to a student's needs. I can quickly assess a his or her strengths and weaknesses in order to customize my approach. My breadth of knowledge of music allows me to draw from a wide range of resources to keep students interested and challenged.

I love seeing the moment a concept “clicks” for a student. I love when I can see that a student feels pride in overcoming a challenge.

About the lesson

I have worked with students as young as 3 years old and as old as 60! My students' abilities have ranged from complete beginner to graduate level.

Julia is an awesome teacher and collaborator. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and supportive. I would highly recommend her for students of any age - she seems to be able to find a way to communicate effectively with broad range of people. I worked with her for several years and could not be more positive.

She's an amazing performer so I was nervous asking for lessons. Turns out she's an amazing teacher too, very patient, thoroughly, and down-to-earth.
