About Claire
Hey everyone! I am a Virginia Tech Applied Economics and Mathematics student dedicated to education and student success. I love to teach and help others realize their potential.
After high school, I spent a year with the VA Department of Education as an FFA State Officer teaching middle and high school students across the commonwealth about leadership, teamwork, and career success. In college, I am a calculus tutor. I also previously taught kindergarten and 1st grade Sunday School. I truly believe every student has incredible potential, and I look forward to helping you unlock yours!
My academic experiences include scoring 1590/1600 on the SAT and maintaining a 4.0 GPA in college with coursework in physics, biology, chemistry, engineering, economics, mathematics, and writing.
I interned with VA Department of Education and Cooperative Education to host leadership workshops and conferences for middle and high school students.
I am a calculus tutor in college and mentored two freshmen with their transitions to college.

A new student and I will start by discussing their goals and current progress. Together, we will make a plan towards success.
We will then work through practice problems and identify focus areas.
By the 80/20 principle, 80% of problems come from 20% of underlying causes, so we will identify and focus on those biggest problems to create the best results.
Throughout this process, I will help the student keep a growth mindset and stay in touch with their goals.
