About Madelyn
I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill class of 2020 with a major in English. I have always had a passion for writing, specifically poetry, fiction writing, and essay writing. I have experience mostly with writing in MLA, APA, and Chicago style, but am flexible and can help with most any style. I worked as a tutor in college, starting in 2016, and have experience with reading over and helping revise/edit writing of any style. Helping people form cohesive, strong, comprehensive pieces of work is something that I have always been passionate about doing. I can help with vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and overall content of the essay.
I started with helping my friends and family members with their writing, and progressed from there to helping people that I don't know, mostly fellow students from UNC as well as students at my local high school.
I have a Bachelors Degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I graduated in 2020.

I like to get to know my students, at least as far as knowing their interests and field of study, if applicable. I can work with anyone. I like to see a sample of their writing, which can of course include the piece with which they need assistance.
I have worked with students from all backgrounds, as well as from different fields of study, such as History, Chemistry, Education, etc.
