About Luke
I am a one person organization and can provide a very personal connection along with the tutoring services. I am still in school so I am fresh with the latest English styles and formats as I use them daily.
I, personally, believe in the importance of learning, and wish to share that passion and importance with others. Not everyone can grasp something as quickly or in the ways that others can, and that's where I want to help. By aiding those who either just need an extra push or information delivered in a different way, I want to make it so that knowledge is never exclusive, and all have a chance to learn if they're interested.
I have just recently attempted to take teaching to a level to make money. I have spent years as a peer tutor in and out of the classroom.
I am still a student in school but I have been and am currently enrolled in multiple honors, AP, and college courses for English specifically.

I will spend an amount of time making sure I get to know them and we are comfortable with each other. I also ensure I clearly can tell what they know and what they want from the sessions so that time or money is not wasted.
I have worked with students mainly close to my age and level, but have had some encounters helping upper level college students as well.
I would advise them to choose one they are comfortable with, that is able to teach them well (some are knowledgeable but struggle to communicate their help effectively), and one that is affordable. If I want to be selfish, I would advise an individual to choose me if they were looking to hire; however, if someone else makes you more confident that the job will be done well, then I recommend that.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The students should be able to clearly communicate what type of help they want. The exact words and such aren't needed, but instead an idea of the assignment or a more specific area. Examples would be if they want help with conciseness, grammar, syntax, identifying certain parts of a piece, help constructing something to write, etc. Coming to a teacher saying "I need help with my English" is ineffective for both the student and the teacher.

I cannot imagine a better tutor than Luke. He is very patient and he is trying to explain everything in the simplest way, what I really appreciate. I higly recommend you Luke when you are struggling or just need to improve your grades.
