About Madison

I have been tutoring English since high school, and teach English full time! In addition to my years of tutoring experience, I am able to pull valuable classroom resources to make one on one learning as effective as possible. In addition to being a certified English teacher, I am also bilingual (English/Spanish) and certifed in ESL.

I love helping people! I went into education because I wanted to make a difference in people's lives and help them realize their potential! I especially enjoy one-on-one tutoring because I am able to give my students customized help in exactly what they need.

I have always been told that I had a knack for explaining things. Teaching came very naturally to me from a young age when I tutored students at my middle and then high school. Since graduating college, I have been a full time English teacher.

I am a certified English teacher in the state of Texas.

About the lesson

The first time I meet with a new student I like to zero in on exactly which skills they're looking to sharpen and what their goals are. From there, we get to work!

I have worked with all ages from 8-60! Any age is a good age to learn.

Make sure your tutor has experience tutoring and teaching! Classroom teachers have lots of experience with both :)

Though I've been stuck at home during the quarentine, my husband and I have made it our goal to cook something that we've never tried at home before every day! We've been having a lot of fun learning new recipes.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
As teachers, we want to help! It's our job and what makes us happy. If you don't understand something, be specific. A blank page doesn't show your teacher what you do and don't know.
