About Lauryn

I love being able to help students succeed in their school work. I want to see my students achieve their goals. I also want to help children believe they are smart enough to overcome their obstacles. I will do my best to show your child they can conquer what is holding them back.

Spending many years with children prepared me for working with them after high school. I love working with kids and helping them learn and grow. I am passionate about getting kids to the level they need to be at and working with them until they are confident in their newfound abilities.

It started when I taught a 2nd-3rd grade Sunday School class. The children loved to learn, and it brought me joy to see all they had learned at the end of the year. Ever since I have worked with children and helped them in different aspects of their life.

I graduated from Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA) in 2022. I worked in children's ministries in churches for five years. I also was an in-home childcare provider for three years.

About the lesson

Upon the first meeting, I want to get to know your child. I won't be able to fully help them learn unless I know a little bit about them. From there, I'll ask about what areas they are struggling in. This will help me learn how to help them. After our first meeting, we can schedule our first session and begin to tutor your child in the areas where they need help.

I have worked with all ages. I focus mainly on pre-school through third grade. I have worked with special needs children and deaf children, as well. I know very little ASL, so unfortunately, I'm unqualified to work with deaf children.

Be knowledgeable in who you want to tutor you. Choose wisely. If that tutor does not work for you, don't be discouraged. You will find the right tutor.

Recently, I stepped down from being an in-home childcare provider. I provided childcare for a particular family for all three years of my service. When it was my final day with them, the children hugged me and told me they loved me. It is truly a touching memory.

I charge $15 an hour per child. I am not exclusive to race, ethnicity, or religion. Please message me if you have special concerns for your child, and we can work on an agreement.
