About Anya
I am a reliable tutor who's inspired by helping students grow to overcome their own obstacles. I have experience working with kids of all ages for the last 6 years, from elementary school to college level, and my background includes one-on-one sessions, group tutoring, home school support, and employment through college tutoring departments.
I'm patient and understanding to the varying learning styles of different students, and aim to foster a growth-mindset that supports and provides them with the tools they need to live up to their greatest potential.
My tutoring approach emphasizes organizational/study skills such as note taking, assignment planning, and time management. For older students I mostly work within the humanities or any kind of reading/writing related support--from analyzing literature or articles, to structuring persuasive essays, to doing research papers. For younger students in elementary school, I'm comfortable working with all subjects. Please reach out to discuss your specific needs and any questions you might have.

I graduated from Mills College with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Humanities and Critical Thought.
